raku.
a small collection of pieces inspired by the japanese pottery technique that involves removing pieces from the hot kiln and allowing it to cool with smoke, combustibles, and the open air
obvara
a form of raku that uses a fermented yeast solution. the pieces are removed from the active kiln and dipped into the obvara, then water, to seal the design via rapid cooling.
